Youth Engagement Professional
Under general direction of the Site Director and with guidance by Regional Directors and Director of
Programming assists development and implementation of student learning activities and experiences, including organizing and conducting after-school and summer programming, classroom activities and monitoring of students.
Regional Director
Are you passionate about making a lasting impact in kids’ lives? As a regional director, you’ll play a key role in leading and supporting our afterschool and summer programs. Working alongside the director of programming, you’ll mentor and support site directors, ensuring programs run smoothly and meet the needs of the children we serve. You’ll also step in to lead when needed, helping shape an environment that fosters spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. This is more than a leadership role—it’s an opportunity to mentor, educate, evaluate, and build relationships that strengthen our mission.
meet michelle
Michelle Stewart joined the Coalition For Kids team in October 2021 as the Director of Human Resources. Michelle has over 17 years of managing employee benefits/HR and a history of non profit employment. Michelle is a graduate of David Crockett High School and East Tennessee State University. Michelle and her husband, Rick, live in Jonesborough and are members of First Baptist Church Jonesborough. Michelle is an active volunteer with JAMA Food Pantry, Honor Flight of the Appalachian Highlands, and the Jonesborough Blessing Box. She has previously served on the Board of Directors of Kingsport Safety Council, United Way allocations committee, and President of Jonesborough Kiwanis. Michelle and Rick love traveling and enjoy spending time with their friends and family (Michelle has a son and Rick has three daughters).
