JCPD at C4K

Connecting with our local law enforcement is an initiative that both Coalition For Kids and the Johnson City Police Department have in common.
On Wednesday, Sgt. Terry Hardin led a class answering questions about police work, how to be a good citizen and showing the kids different parts of his uniform.
Officer Jim Jenkins led our kids though the revered Hum-V used by our police department, and let them experience the inside elements of the vehicle.
Officers Nate Carmen & Ashley Ellenburg played several rounds of corn-hole with the children and encouraging sportsmanship and teamwork.
As part of our community development, Coalition strives to teach our children the importance of our police and firemen in a positive and encouragement environment.  The JCPD has supported C4K for years with visits from their uniformed officers to our facility and encouraging positive attitudes between the kids and the officers.

Thank you, Sgt Hardin, and Officers Carmen, Jenkins, and Ellenburg! We had a GREAT time!

“Umm, I don’t think they’re supposed to park there.”
