Serving children is the reason Coalition exists. Our Mission is to help children grow in wisdom and stature, and in the favor of God and man. This happens because of the caring, nurturing team of Site Directors and tutors on staff working directly with the kids, and the Support team working behind the scenes to back them up. With the end of the school year, we would like to thank each and every person on our staff for their hard work and dedication to our Coalition kids. We want to celebrate a few individuals that have really gone above and beyond what’s expected in their efforts for these kids. John Williams Basketball

Our Coalition kids got a real treat to end their school year with a great, positive message from former Harlem Globetrotter John Williams.  The kids also had a chance to learn some new basketball skills, as well as hear a positive message about perseverence, overcoming obstables, enthusiasm, and determination. “I would like to thank The Coalition For Kids, Inc. for having me in to share a positive message to their youth! Read-A-Thon Rewards

Our kids just got rewarded for their outstanding reading efforts! The kids put up some pretty impressive numbers… over 28,000 minutes read over the course of two weeks and over $2,000 raised! Prizes were awarded for individual and group achievements for total minutes read.  The money raised goes towards providing more resources, learning and enrichment activities, as well as equipment for students and classrooms. The top-performing group was Mountainview with 5,783 total minutes read!!  They received a party with food from Bojangles and donuts from Krispy Kreme! Congratulations to all of Ms. Sierra’s great kids!      Thank you to Sarah Hacker, Marketing Director for Trigg Enterprises, LLC dba Bojangles for coordinating and donating the 60 dinners you brought for our kids.
